Himachal Art & Archaeology: Some Aspects is a critical foundational text in Himalayan art historiography. Compiled and edited by Dr. Vishwa Chander Ohri, the founding curator of the Himachal State Museum, the volume publishes the surviving peer-reviewed papers from a landmark seminar held at the State Museum in Simla in October 1975. The work represents a major mid-1970s effort by regional and national scholars to systematically document the material culture, epigraphy, and artistic transitions of the Western Himalayas.
